Neighbourhood Agreements

Click to enlarge Liverpool wards and Neighbourhood Management AreasLiverpool has entered into a three year contract to deliver its Local Area Agreement (LAA).  The way the LAA will be delivered at a local level is through documents known as Neighbourhood Agreements.

Neighbourhood Agreements were developed following consultation with a range of people through stakeholder sessions, forum meetings and workshops; they are working documents which will be updated.

The Agreements are unique to the each of the five Neighbourhood Management Areas that have been set up to improve the delivery of services across Liverpool (see map opposite that shows which wards are in which NMA).

The aims of Neighbourhood Agreements are to:

  • improve local service delivery and the quality of life of residents
  • identify areas that need priority action and target problems that need to be addressed
  • include a range of performance targets that need to be delivered that also allow us to monitor progress
  • allow partners and agencies to identify where they should invest their money to improve the area, and
  • identify how partners can work together to deliver better services.

There will be one Neighbourhood Agreement for each of the five Neighbourhood Management Areas. They will be agreed and scrutinised by six Ward Joint Committees.
