Feedback
The ‘Your City, Your Neighbourhood, Your Say’ events have been very well received by the overwhelming majority of participants. They have developed a model of good practice for the future, which can be improved upon and used as required.
41% of participants regarded either ‘the opportunity to have your say’ or the whole event as the best part of the events. Those wishing to attend a further event ranged from 73% in South Central to 97% in Liverpool East. An average of 85% of attendees citywide said they will attend another event.
We marketed the events in a variety of ways:
• Website/Email,
• Liverpool Echo, Merseymart,
• Radio Merseyside, Kensington FM
• Door to door leafleting using the ‘Streets Ahead’ service
• Information stands within supermarkets.
We were surprised however to note that only 8% of attendees heard about the event through local press or radio and 47% would prefer to receive further information via email or website. We will consider this in future marketing.
Venues – The venues were all accessible and centrally located within the neighbourhood management area. 3 of the venues were schools and we received good support from them. The two other venues were purpose built conference centres better equipped to deal with large number of people.
Free transport was provided to those who had difficulty with mobility.
We were very pleased with the attendance figures. 440 people took part in total, 270 of whom voted, a breakdown by neighbourhood management area is shown below.
In addition to this, 251 completed written questionnaires and 86 completed on-line questionnaires via the Liverpool First website.
Summary of the opinions of the respondents to the questionnaires
