26 January 2010 - Cressington Your Community Matters goes online

For the start of 2010 Cressington Your Community Matters events are being held online, through the Liverpool First Discussion Forum.

YCM onlineYour Community Matters are a series of community focused events held in each neighbourhood, aimed at finding out from residents any issues or challenges they're facing on a day to day basis. Key partners are involved in the events and aim to resolve any issues that come out of them.

Cressington is the first ward to try this new method of engagement and so far residents, partners and councillors have joined the community. Some key issues have been raised and dealt with through the discussion forum.

New users are required to sign up via the 'Create an Account' button on the home page. Once users have entered this page then there are a range of simple instructions to get started. The whole process takes about 10 minutes and users need to be using an email address to receive further instructions and a password. New users can then enter the discussion forum either via the Discussion Board button or via the user's home page.

The members' only discussion forum is being used to prevent malicious comments from being made and to enable Liverpool First to keep contact with users.

Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) is working in partnership with Liverpool City Council, ward councillors, and other partners, to host the ‘Your Community Matters’ events.

If you encounter problems signing in, tell us by Contacting Us or contact forum manager, Jenny Curry on 0151 227 5177.
