Air Quality Management Areas
Two Air Quality Management Areas have been identified for Liverpool: the City Centre and the junction of the M62 and Queens Drive. These are areas where air pollution is predicted to be high and measures need to be taken to lower it to protect people's health.

Alleygating
Alleygating is a way of reducing burglary to the rear of terraced properties by gating off the rear alleyway. By gating these alleyways burglary, fly tipping, youths causing annoyance and secondary fires can be reduced.
Area Committiees
The previous name for Neighbourhood Committees (see below).

An independent public body responsible for ensuring that public money is spent economically, efficiently, and effectively in the areas of local government, housing, health, criminal justice and fire and rescue services.
